Notice to Users: Court Fines and SMS Messages. Please be advised that you will never be notified of court fines, fees, or payment requests via SMS (text message). Official notifications regarding fines or court matters are provided only through authorized channels such as official letters, secure portals, or direct communication from the court. If you receive a text message claiming to be about court fines or requesting payment, do not respond or click any links. This may be a scam. Report suspicious messages to the court or your IT/security office. Your security and trust are important to us.

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC), through the Court Appointed Attorney Program, issues Requests for Proposals (RFP) seeking attorneys to work under contract on mental health committment matters as well as voluntary admission matters under the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act and the Children’s Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Act. Occaisionally other areas of representation may also require short-term contracts. If there is not an active RFP we also keep a list of attorneys who have expressed interest in being appointed to matters. Please send your information, including the area of law and which judicial districts your are interested in by emailing aoccaaff-grp@nmcourts.gov.
